President Trump reacts to apparent Biden win

On Saturday, November 7th, then presidential candidate Joe Biden received enough votes to become President-elect and the apparent 46th President of the United States. Following this President Donald Trump has released a statement regarding the announcement. 

In the statement reported on by National Public Radio (NPR) President Trump says, “far from over.” According to the NPR article, President Trump was at his Virginia Golf Course when the news was delivered to him. President-elect Biden was elected to the position after Pennsylvania and Nevada both nominated the democratic candidate earlier today. Joe Biden now leads the electoral college 290 votes to 214, he is also winning the popular vote. The Associated Press, who broke the news of both state’s nominations has been correct in calling the Presidential race 99.8% of the time according to their own website. 

Recounts and an investigation into potential voter fraud is expected to take place in the coming months, but no specific or current recounts have taken place as of the time of publication.
