KURE is hiring a Kaleidoquiz Director! The Kaleidoquiz Directors are responsible for creating and managing the annual 6 hour (QuickyKwiz) and 26 hour (Kaleidoquiz) radio-hosted trivia contests, and reaching out to businesses for sponsorships.
Underwriting Director

KURE is hiring an Graphic Design Intern. The Graphic Design Intern is responsible for creating splash art, promotional material, and other graphics relating to station events.
Music Intern
KURE is hiring a Music Intern. The Music Intern is mainly responsible for the curation of KURE’s music library. This includes sorting, organization, data management of the library itself, as well as assigning and collecting reviews to and from members of the Music Reviewing Committee (MRC).

DJ
Play music over the air during your own weekly show
First time DJ’s will start with a one hour long show, aired weekly. Simply fill out an application and then send a sample two hour playlist (text, .m3u, or spotify playlist – please don’t send music files!) following the instructions in the application.
Music Review
Review new music and assist in the musical direction of the station
Talk about, discover, and review new music every week at the Music Review Committee meeting. The committee meets every week. Any questions can be directed to the Music Director.
Production
Record, edit, and mix audio (including live music over the air!)
Provide technical support for radio programs, including recording and editing talk shows, mixing live bands on air for LIVE from KURE, assisting in live remote broadcasts, and prerecording and producing DJ’s music shows. Email the Upper Management team.

Engineering
Upgrade and maintain KURE’s computer and audio systems
Provide technical support for the station, including solving problems with equipment and computers, and providing routine maintenance, upgrades, and service. Knowledge of computer systems (Windows, OS X, and linux), networking infrastructure, or audio equipment is preferred, but not required. Interested? Email the Upper Management team.
Sports
Broadcast live sporting events, and produce sports content on-air and online
Be a part of any of the several weekly sports talk shows – do research, come up with topics, and speak on air about sports at any level of any kind! Interested? Email the Sports Director.
News & Talk
Seek out stories and produce content for on-air news and talk shows
Create stories from interviews with distinguished guests, or even your roommate! Cover events such as 80/35, Hinterland, and more! Host a newscast or talk show with a panel of rotating guests! Simply fill out an application here.
Events, Marketing, and Underwriting
Plan events, promote KURE, partner with businesses, and raise funds
The PREMU committee (for short!) plans, promotes, and executes events and public initiatives at the station, including KURE Fest (our annual music festival), Terrace Tuesdays (a weekly hangout on the MU terraces with food trucks and live music), and Kaleidoquiz (our half-century old annual on-air trivia contest). Interview bands and musicians and produce live performances on air
Bring in and facilitate interviews and live performances with guest artists, from local bands starting out to well-established touring acts! Email the Upper Management team.
