The KURE Fest 2016 lineup has now been announced!
KURE Fest will be held on Thursday, October 27th and Friday, October 28th, in the Maintenance Shop (10/27), and the Great Hall in the Memorial Union (10/28).
The event is 100% free and open to the public!
10/28 – Night 2 – Great Hall, Memorial Union
Neon Indian
Headlining this year’s KURE Fest will be the groovy retro dance vibe of Neon Indian!
Max Jury
Max Jury will bring smooth vocals and masterful keyboards as the second act of KURE Fest.
The Maytags
Kicking off night two of KURE Fest will be The Maytags, who are celebrating the release of their first full length album this year. This seven piece group has been perfecting their sound on the road, taking inspiration from the likes of Al Green, the Daptone crew, and Stax.
10/27 – Night 1 – The Maintenance Shop
MAIDS
Night 1 will feature local favorites MAIDS. They describe themselves as “Midwest Disco.” Prepare to dance and sway to their smooth down-tempo electronic music!
Remo Drive
This Minnesota trio will bring a splash of alternative and punk to the M Shop, hot off the trail of their recent Live from KURE session
Grand Ave. Ruckus
Night 1 will kick off with Grand Avenue Ruckus, a brass band from Des Moines specializing in soul, funk, and Motown covers.
