The Iowa State Men’s Basketball team will have a new head coach as Steve Prohm and Iowa State have agreed to “part ways” according to a Monday press release.
According to the press release, Iowa State Athletic Director Jamie Pollard will have more comment on this on Tuesday and the search for a new head coach will begin immediately.
Prohm has been the head coach at Iowa State for the last six seasons, having compiled a 97-95 record and three NCAA tournament appearances.
However, his last two seasons did have much success as his squads went 14-42 (5-31 Big 12), including a 2-22 (0-18 Big 12) record this season.
