What is your show called and what does it entail?
The Community Napkin. It’s an hour of indie/alternative music where every song that I play has less than 500,000 listens on Spotify. I also try to play a lot of local and/or up-and-coming bands to give them some exposure.
Why did you become a DJ?
Because I love music! I could talk for hours and hours about it, so I thought this would be a good outlet for me. I also love making playlists, so I knew this gig would be more play than work.
What is your favorite thing about being a DJ?
Like I said before, I love being able to play local bands to give them some exposure. It’s a fun and exciting way to support and promote our local DIY scene. I also love being able to share the music that I love listening to.
What is your favorite album and/or artist of all time?
I have soooo many, but Fleetwood Mac is always my go to. My favorite album by them is Tango In the Night (unpopular opinion, I know, but I love every song off of that album).
